Earlier this week, the USC Gould Clerkship Committee hosted the 2025 Fall Clerkship Reception at USC Gould School of Law. The event was the best attended in years, bringing together an outstanding group of students, faculty, and alumni to celebrate and promote judicial clerkship opportunities.
As Co-Chair of the Board of Councilors’ Clerkship Committee at USC Gould, Kibler Fowler & Cave Partner Matt Cave plays a leading role in supporting the school’s clerkship program. The Committee provides guidance to students throughout the clerkship process—from exploring potential courts to preparing application materials and interviews—and organizes a variety of programs each year to connect students with judges and alumni clerks.
This year’s reception featured remarks by Dave Willingham, partner at King & Spalding, along with Dean Franita Tolson and Professor Aya Gruber, Co-Chair of the Faculty Judiciary Committee. John Snow, Director of Legal and Trial Training at the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office, served as the evening’s emcee, helping to make the event both engaging and inspiring.
Kibler Fowler & Cave is proud to support the Clerkship Committee and USC Gould’s continued commitment to helping students pursue clerkship opportunities that foster professional excellence and public service.
