Managing Partner Michael Kibler Speaks at Loyola Law School’s 20th Annual Journalist Law School

Managing Partner Michael Kibler participated in the 20th Annual Journalist Law School (JLS) at LMU Loyola Law School in Los Angeles, serving as a panelist on “Perspectives on Civil Litigation” on August 2, 2025. The panel was part of a four-day intensive fellowship designed to give working journalists a deeper understanding of the legal system.

Hosted annually on Loyola’s downtown L.A. campus, JLS brings together a select group of reporters, editors, and producers from national print and broadcast media outlets for a crash course in core legal subjects. The program, led by Professor Jessica Levinson, features sessions taught by law professors, judges, and legal practitioners, offering journalists critical tools to navigate the complexities of legal reporting. This year marks Mike’s third time presenting at JLS.

Mike joined fellow litigators Stephen Broome and Cyndie Chang for a dynamic conversation on the realities of civil litigation today. The panel was moderated by KTLA on-air reporter Omar Lewis and covered emerging trends, courtroom strategy, and the media’s role in shaping public understanding of legal issues.
