Los Angeles, CA, July 11, 2025 – Kibler Fowler & Cave LLP is pleased to announce that Jean Y. Rhee has joined the firm as Counsel in its Los Angeles office. Jean brings nearly two decades of experience in complex commercial, intellectual property, and employment litigation, further strengthening the firm’s trial and advisory capabilities across a range of high-stakes matters.
Jean’s career includes representing Fortune 100 and 500 companies in civil, regulatory, and white-collar criminal cases, as well as advising clients on sensitive employment law issues. She has litigated before state and federal courts nationwide and in international arbitration forums. Jean’s practice spans industries including entertainment, technology, finance, and healthcare, with matters involving copyright and trademark disputes, wage-and-hour class actions, internal investigations, and parallel civil and criminal proceedings.

Before joining Kibler Fowler & Cave, Jean was a partner at Russ August & Kabat. She previously practiced at Munger, Tolles & Olson LLP and Bird Marella, and began her legal career as a clerk to the Honorable Ronald M. Gould of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. Her work has earned her recognition as a Southern California Super Lawyer, and earlier as a Rising Star, including honors among the Top 100 Rising Stars and Top 50 Women Rising Stars in Southern California.
Jean also brings deep community and professional engagement to the firm. She has held leadership roles with organizations such as the Asian Professional Exchange and the Young Lawyers Subcommittee of the ABA White Collar Crime Committee, and served on the Internet Committee for the International Trademark Association. She volunteers with Bet Tzedek and Public Counsel and remains active in causes that advance equity and service in the legal profession.

Jean earned her J.D., magna cum laude, from the University of Michigan Law School, where she was Order of the Coif and appointed an Articles Editor of the Michigan Law Review. She also received her B.A., summa cum laude, from the University of Michigan, where she was a James B. Angell Scholar and became a Rhodes Scholarship Finalist.
