Kibler Fowler & Cave Partner Dominique Caamano Speaks at Loyola Marymount University on Career Development and Business Building

Kibler Fowler & Cave Partner Dominique Caamano served as a guest speaker on March 17 at Loyola Marymount University, joining an undergraduate marketing class led by Laura Martini.

Drawing on her dynamic and non-linear career path—from immigrating to the United States as a child to roles in the entertainment industry, Big Law, a federal clerkship, public service, and now boutique litigation—Dom shared practical insights on building a successful career in the services industry. She spoke about the importance of developing real expertise through consistent effort and repetition, emphasizing that excellence is earned over time. She also highlighted how authentic relationships and staying meaningfully connected to others often drive the most significant professional opportunities, and how a strong reputation is built through responsiveness, professionalism, and consistently high-quality work.

In addition, Dom offered candid perspectives on the value of diverse experiences, managing up effectively, and the role of emerging tools like AI as aids to (not replacements for) sound judgment. Throughout the conversation, she reinforced that career paths are rarely linear and that long-term success is shaped as much by curiosity and character as it is by credentials.

We’re grateful to LMU and Professor Martini for the opportunity to engage with students and to share real-world perspectives on career development and business building.
