Cristyn N. Chadwick is Counsel in our Los Angeles office and has extensive experience in the most complex litigation matters, both as a litigator at top law firms and as in-house counsel for a multi-billion dollar privately held company.
In private practice, Cristyn has focused primarily on contract disputes, insurance defense, product liability, financial services, UCL/false advertising defense, and consumer class action litigation. She has also assisted clients with civil (CERCLA) and regulatory (OSHA) environmental matters. Cristyn’s clients span such diverse industries as finance, insurance, retail, food and beverage, automotive, and entertainment.
As in-house counsel for a large, vertically integrated CPG company, Cristyn managed litigation covering a broad range of matters for the company’s over 100 diversified subsidiaries. She understands the complex, and often changing, issues, pressures, and politics facing a company’s in-house legal department and General Counsel. She also understands the value of synergistic and reliable relationships with outside counsel.
Cristyn has extensive experience in state and federal courts throughout California and is admitted in each of California’s federal districts, as well as the Ninth Circuit. She has also litigated in courts across the country, including tribal courts, as well as in various arbitration forums.
Cristyn’s clients value her insight and skill in determining when to litigate and when to resolve cases through settlement, and her careful attention to clients’ overall litigation objectives and needs.
In addition to Cristyn’s litigation savvy, she has her MBA from Rice University. Through the MBA program, she has gained a unique awareness of the role that operations, finances, and business strategy play in her clients’ litigation perspectives.
